In today’s rapidly changing world🌎, equipping young girls with the right skills and knowledge is more critical than ever. At Inspera, we believe in the power of education and empowerment💪, which is why we were thrilled to organize a Life Skilling Programme for Girls at Pachaiyappa’s College for Women, Kanchipuram, under the ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ scheme, in collaboration with Sooriaselvam Educational Trust.
Why Life Skills Matter🤔
Life skills are the building blocks that enable individuals to navigate through life effectively. For young girls, especially, mastering these skills is essential not only for their personal growth but also for their ability to make informed decisions, manage relationships, and overcome challenges in a world that often places them at a disadvantage.
Our Life Skilling Programme focused on several key areas:
📌 Health & Hygiene: Educating girls on the importance of personal hygiene, reproductive health, and nutrition to ensure they grow into healthy and confident women.
📌 Self-Confidence & Leadership: Building self-esteem and leadership qualities so that these young girls can lead with confidence in their communities and beyond.
📌 Communication Skills: Enhancing their ability to express themselves clearly and effectively, both in personal and professional settings.
📌 Financial Literacy: Introducing basic financial concepts to help them manage money wisely, understand the importance of saving, and plan for the future.
📌 Digital Literacy: Teaching them how to use digital tools responsibly and efficiently, ensuring they can thrive in a technology-driven world.
A Transformative Experience 📈
The response from the participants was overwhelmingly positive. The girls were not only engaged and enthusiastic but also eager to apply what they learned in their daily lives. Witnessing their transformation over the course of the programme was truly inspiring. Many of them expressed how empowered they felt to take on new challenges and pursue their dreams with renewed vigour.
